In 1017 successful TTVR implants from 1034 attempts across 82 US centers, 30-day outcomes showed high procedural success with near-complete TR reduction, 3.1% mortality, low stroke (0.2%) and heart-failure hospitalization (3.1%), improvements in NYHA class and KCCQ-OS scores, and no significant outcome differences by baseline CIED status, supporting safety and effectiveness in real-world practice.

Pooled analysis of 518 patients with single CTOs showed PCI (92.2% success) produced greater improvements in SAQ angina frequency, QoL, and summary scores at 12 months versus optimal medical therapy, with similar rates of cardiac death/nonfatal MI over ~3.1 years and fewer target lesion revascularizations in the PCI group.

In this randomized trial of 1,184 patients with unprotected left main disease, there was no significant difference in 10-year all-cause mortality between PCI with contemporary drug-eluting stents and CABG (23% vs 25%; HR 0.93, 95% CI 0.74–1.18; p=0.56), with similar findings across SYNTAX score subgroups, supporting comparable long-term safety of PCI and CABG in patients eligible for either treatment.
